For the second consecutive year, the Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) is renewing its partnership, support, and funding for the Sanad Association for Alternative Parental Care. This collaboration enables Sanad to continue its work protecting children and youth deprived of parental care and enhancing the quality of care provided to them.
Through the project “Ensuring Child Protection and Quality Care in Care Homes,” Sanad works to support and develop child protection systems within care facilities, build the capacities of caregivers and facility managers, raise children’s awareness of their rights, and strengthen the capabilities of Ministry of Social Solidarity staff.
The project targets:
- 7 care homes
- 130 children and youth deprived of parental care (aged 10–17)
- 54 caregivers and care home managers
- 29 Ministry of Social Solidarity staff members
The project’s impact extends beyond training and activity implementation; it fosters the establishment of more sustainable protection practices and systems within care homes and raises community awareness regarding the issues facing children and youth deprived of parental care.
We are proud to renew this partnership for a second year and deeply appreciate the trust and ongoing support of the Export Development Bank of Egypt. This support enables us to continue working toward safer care environments, higher quality care, and stronger protection for children and youth.
