A fruitful partnership with Samusocial to implement the “Caregiver Cadre” program, involving 15 caregivers from various organizations and institutions working with children deprived of parental care

As the capabilities of caregivers evolve, so do the opportunities for children to receive care that meets their specific needs.

Guided by the Sanad Association’s mission—”A world where every orphan can shape their own future”—we believe that strengthening the alternative parental care system begins with investing in the individuals responsible for caring for children and youth and supporting their development.

With this in mind, we are proud to partner with Samusocial to implement the “Caregiver Capacity Building” program. The initiative engaged 15 caregivers from various organizations and institutions dedicated to supporting children deprived of parental care.

Running from August 31 to October 6, 2026, the program addressed a range of topics designed to enhance caregivers’ knowledge and skills, including:

  • Identifying personal motivations for working with children deprived of parental care.
  • Children’s rights.
  • Developmental stages and the characteristics of each age group.
  • Understanding children deprived of parental care and their specific needs.
  • The impact of trauma.
  • Analyzing behavior and understanding its underlying causes.
  • Identity.
  • Emotional management.
  • Psychological resilience.
  • Burnout.
  • Two specialized sessions on mental health and self-care.

This program builds upon Sanad Association’s role as a center of expertise within the alternative parental care system. By facilitating knowledge transfer and professional practice development, we aim to empower caregivers to understand children’s needs and respond to them with awareness and responsibility.

Because investing in the caregiver is an investment in the child’s future
