Regional and international alliances

Sanad Society has contributed greatly to the field of alternative care, through intensive research projects, practical experience and continuous development in line with quality standards. Since its establishment, Sanad has had the opportunity to become a member of prestigious international alliances and to participate in numerous international conferences that serve the field of alternative care for children and youth without parental care.

The Arab Foundations Forum (AFF) is a non-profit membership-based association of philanthropic organizations, donors, funders, and other actors in the philanthropy sector-based or working in the Arab region. AFF was established in 2006 and has grown to include a regional network across the region, with members in 12 countries so far, and it continues to grow.

Sanad joined the coalition, which includes a group of international and local organizations from different countries and is currently led by UNICEF and Plan International, working to enhance child protection by setting standards and providing technical support.Sanad shared its experience in“Strengthening the Capacity of Caregivers in a Time of Instability to Enhance Child Protection” at the Coalition’s Annual Meeting 2020 remotely.

SANAD joined the Supreme Committee for Alternative Families at the Ministry of Social Solidarity in 2016. In collaboration with the Face for children in need, SANAD, under the supervision of the committee, contributed to the development of the procedural guide for the new foster care system. This guide was officially adopted by the ministry in 2019.

A network on social issues that holds an annual conference on orphans in April, and also conducts numerous events and training programs. The membership in the Regional Network helps Wataneya (Sanad Now) in networking with Arab institutions for exchanging knowledge towards a quality of Life for every Orphan.
