In a new step toward expanding regional cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of alternative parental care, the Sanad Association for Alternative Parental Care in Egypt has signed a cooperation protocol with the Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training in Jordan.
This partnership combines the expertise of both organizations in supporting children and youth deprived of parental care and in developing programs and practices that address their needs. Particular emphasis is placed on the “aftercare” phase—specifically the rehabilitation and support required to help young people transition to more independent and stable lives.
The partnership is grounded in the synergy of expertise across several areas: alternative parental care; training and rehabilitation; life and vocational skills development; and youth empowerment, including fostering their integration into society and the labor market.
The collaboration encompasses the exchange of expertise and knowledge, the implementation of training and awareness programs, and the launch of joint campaigns and initiatives. It also involves developing projects to build the capacity of institutions and professionals in the alternative care sector and raising awareness regarding the issues faced by children and youth deprived of parental care.
This partnership extends Sanad’s efforts to solidify its role as a center of expertise within the alternative parental care ecosystem. It also aims to broaden cooperation with regional institutions to leverage diverse experiences, refine practices, and enhance the quality of services provided.
We believe that the exchange of expertise goes beyond mere knowledge sharing; it extends to refining practices and creating new opportunities for collaboration that support children and youth deprived of parental care, thereby upholding their right to a more independent and stable future.
