Sanad Hosts Forum on Enhancing Protection and Quality of Care for Children Without Parental Care
January 2026
Sanad Association for Alternative Parental Care organized the Sanad Forum titled “Strengthening Protection Systems and Quality of Care,” bringing together care homes from different governorates, along with private sector and civil society partners. The forum aimed to support national efforts to enhance the quality of care provided to children and youth without parental care, and to promote safe and supportive environments within care homes.
The forum aligns with sustainability principles, the National Alternative Care Strategy, Egypt Vision 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals, reflecting Sanad’s belief that strengthening protection systems and quality of care requires long-term commitment, genuine partnerships, and shared learning.
The event featured keynote remarks, a presentation on the Protection and Quality of Care Project journey, as well as interactive and discussion sessions focusing on identity, psychosocial support, and amplifying youth voices. It also witnessed the launch of “Bosaltak,” the first AI-powered tool in Egypt designed to support youth without parental care, in addition to networking activities that fostered collaboration among care homes and partners.
Sanad extends its sincere appreciation to the Export Development Bank of Egypt for supporting the Protection and Quality of Care Project, and values its partnerships with Baseera Foundation, Shagrha Initiative, Hann Initiative, and Spark, as well as the strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and its directorates across several governorates, contributing to sustainable and lasting impact.
