SANAD at the “Bridges: Rebels or Misunderstood?” Conference – Advocating for Adolescents in Alternative Care

We were happy to partner with 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗩𝗜𝗔 – 𝗔𝗨𝗖) in the 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀: 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱?” 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, a powerful gathering dedicated to understanding and supporting adolescents in alternative care. 
 
SANAD was represented in 2 different panels by Ms. Yasmine El-Hagry, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, and Nahla Elnmer, 𝗘𝗴𝘆𝗽𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗗, which contributed to a meaningful perspectives on identity, emotional wellbeing, and the role of community in supporting youth without parental care. 
 
We were also delighted to support 𝗩𝗜𝗔 in inviting representatives from care homes management teams, and celebrating inspiring care leavers whose resilience continues to light the way forward.
