Sanad offers training programs for aftercare to youth (care leavers), ensuring them an independent future and impactful community leadership.

Preparation for Independence:

At Sanad we believe in the importance of empowering youth without parental care and are over the age of 18 and about to leave their care homes. Therefore, we offer specialized training programs that help enhance their independence skills. What sets these trainings apart is that they are delivered by trainers, some of whom are care leavers, creating a space for deep dialogue and a precise understanding of the youth's needs.

Some of the training programs we offer include:

Employment Market Rehabilitation Program:
• Specialized trainers, including graduates from care homes, providing practical and realistic training.
• Based on an exploratory study conducted by Sanad in 2022, which includes the experiences and opinions of youth without parental care, youth leaders, and the private sector.
• Including coaching sessions on writing resumes and job searching.
• Partnerships with the private sector to provide training and job opportunities.

Creative and Psychological Interventions Program "Storytelling":
This program focuses on enhancing the practical, psychological, and social aspects of youth through:
• Teaching them how to identify and express their emotions.
• Equipping them with the necessary skills to face crises constructively.
• Empowering them to support others and deal effectively with situations and conflicts.

Preparation for Community Leadership:
Sanad strives to prepare a generation of community leaders among care leavers, so they can be effective and influential leaders. Our goals are to:
• Develop their lives to become role models for others.
• Prepare them to take on the responsibility of addressing the challenges faced by orphaned youth and create innovative solutions to these challenges.
• Encourage them to become impactful individuals who contribute to empowering orphaned youth to think collaboratively and make decisions to solve common issues.

To achieve these goals, Sanad launched 6 initiatives designed by 21 youths. These initiatives have had an impact on 22 care homes and 168 children and youth, focusing on:
• Improving mental health and proper nutrition.
• Raising the quality of education.
• Enhancing self-reliance skills.

These initiatives have shown tangible results and significant changes at both the care home level, including system adjustments and new regulations, and at the youth level, including personal development and identity acceptance.
We believe in the importance of vital training to support care leavers and empower them to thrive and make a positive impact in their lives. Contact us to learn more details.

Training University Students and Social Work Institutes

Sanad offers the "Change Leaders Program," which includes:
• Developing curricula in collaboration with universities to integrate practical training with academic knowledge.
• Coordinating with care homes to enable students to have hands-on training in the field of alternative parental care.
• Training students on training skills and providing them the opportunity to present the children and youth package accredited by the Ministry.

Training new practitioners in the care of orphaned children and youth creates a lasting impact on society as a whole by preparing leaders who carry the message of hope and work towards building a better future. Contact us to learn more details.
