Mostafa Hanfy

Learning & Development Senior Specialist

Mustafa holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy in Social Work in 2021, specializing in individual service from Helwan University. He obtained his Master's degree in individual service in 2015. Mustafa earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2008 and engaged in developmental work during his university studies, starting when he was the head of the student union. After graduation, he continued his studies in the psychological field and obtained a diploma in psychology in 2009 from Helwan University. He also obtained a professional certificate in child growth promotion from a national association accredited by the British Pearson Authority in 2014. Mustafa has conducted numerous research studies in his specialization area and has several published research papers and studies in the Future of Social Sciences, a peer-reviewed scientific journal in 2021. Mustafa worked as a technical director for a children's life skills activity for homeless children for 9 years and as a consultant for several care homes. He participated in drafting the initial draft of the national strategy for homeless children at the Ministry of Social Solidarity in 2013. He is a former member of the National Network of Associations working with homeless children at the National Council for Childhood. He has undergone numerous specialized training sessions in alternative care, totaling over 2400 training hours. Mustafa also participated in research studies in his field of specialization and in conferences aimed at enhancing the skills of care providers. He supervised Master's and Ph.D. students at Helwan University in the field of alternative care from 2014 to 2018 as an academic supervisor. He designed rehabilitation programs and training guides in the field of child care, conducted various seminars, designed and implemented several rehabilitation camps for children and youth outside of family care, and evaluated care homes nationwide with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in 2014. Mustafa has been involved in various volunteer activities since 2004, received the Ideal Volunteer award in 2012, and his volunteer journey continues to this day. Mustafa is passionate about working with children, youth, and care providers since his graduation. He aspires to contribute to the licensing of professionals working with children deprived of parental care to ensure a dignified life for every child and youth, and to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of every child, youth, and care provider.
